It's exactly as I suspected. Bosch controls the code and keeps it proprietary. VW and other car manufacturers that use their stuff (and that's a lot of car manufacturers. Bosch is quite close to a monopoly in this market) can only influence some very narrow parameters. So I ask again: how much blame is at Bosch?
